This video compares two different methods of apply connectors to the fiber-optic cable. First method is field terminated cables, these have the advantage in precision, but the effort is more than the other method, this method requires precise equipments and precise work. The other method is factory terminated cables, these connectors are applied and tested in the factory, all are approved and ready to connect. All you need to worry is it will have a little left over, but the installing process is very easy.
