I finally added a proper switch to the router table.
Probably not the best way to do it but it turned out great. It just took a lot of thinking and going to a few stores to find all the things that would work.
This is the switch I used.

You will also need:
- ring terminals
- wire nut
- 2” 6-32 pan head machine screws
- 14 gauge extension cord
- adhesive or a way to connect the electrical boxes
- super heavy duty double sided adhesive tape or a way to mechanically attach the switch to the table
- hole covers for the boxes.
- zip ties
I hope this helps with some ideas on how to add a heavy duty switch to your router table. Make/add this at your own risk.
