GITEX is one of the Middle East's largest technology events. One of the most prominent brands at GITEX 2019 was Avaya. IX Workplace, formerly known as Equinox, is Avaya's unified communications client providing users with a fully integrated tool for communication, collaboration and productivity. During this year's GITEX, Avaya, announced a host of new features and additions to the platform.
In this video interview - recorded on the Avaya stand during GITEX - the UC Today team met with Savio Tovar Dias who is Avaya International’s Senior Director for Sales Engineering to understand more about all the latest innovations added to IX Workplace.
Dias explains more about the background of IX Workplace and some of the ideology behind its development. Avaya want to provide users with an intuitive tool where they can manage all of their day to day tasks and functions without the distraction of having to switch between multiple communication applications. The latest addition in IX OneSpace provides a consolidated UC client where users can access all of their communication tools but also see information from other critical business applications such as CRM.
Integration capabilities have been at the forefront of its development and Dias explains that by utilising an open infrastructure IX Workplace can integrate with a number of line of business applications. This will enable organisations to realise maximum productivity from their users.
