Basic Cisco Router Configuration with two Hosts on GNS3

The video above shows a basic network scenario with two computer hosts and one Cisco router. We will configure basic IP addressing on router in order to demonstrate how IOS Cisco routers are configured. Also, we will configure a hostname and put a password (enable secret) on the router. In more complex networks you will need to configure also routes (either static routes or dynamic routing) on the Cisco device in order to reach destination networks which are more than one hop away.

The network scenario was carried out using GNS3 simulator software which uses actual Cisco router IOS images. This means you have a real Cisco router in front of you and all commands are the same as an actual hardware device.
