With today’s data centers, you get high patch panel density and low light levels. When the two come together, it can make it hard to find the port or cable you need to inspect. That’s why we developed the FI-500 FiberInspector with PortBright illumination. It lets you clearly see what you’re testing, saving time and your eyesight. The FI-500 is a breeze to use. The probe has key controls mounted on it for easy operation and is designed to fit into tight spaces. Simply plug it into the patch panel or plug the cable into the FI-500 and press autofocus. Within seconds, the autofocus features brings the UPC fiber end faces into sharp, clear view.

You can autofocus anytime by pressing a button on the probe or the display. And if you're working in a difficult to reach place or you can't get the image to stand still, just touch the pause button to freeze the image. The zoom function increases the magnification to make it easy to spot contamination. You can clearly see contamination on this fiber end face. The FI-500 comes with 4 interchangeable UPC tips. APC tips are available as well. This allows the FI-500 to work with nearly any port or cable and it operates off of rechargeable AA batteries. Contamination can be easily removed with our line of cleaning supplies with the FI-500, you’ll get high-end features at an affordable price.
