This is a short demonstration of one of the new features (along with Xen Desktop integration) in EMC VSI 5.1 - Integrated Storage Performance reporting.

VSI is a vCenter plugin for customers using vSphere and EMC storage. It maps the relationships between VMware objects and underlying storage, it makes provisioning MUCH easier (VMware admins can provision their own storage, and if there is a formal storage team, the storage team can control access and partition the array).

In the latest version - there is integrated performance reporting and alerting. This is really cool because it makes it SIMPLE to see, directly in vCenter - the relationship between performance at the vDisk layer, the datastore layer and the storage device layer.
