Fill a bottomless plastic bottle with Dettol water. Make a hole in its lid. Shine the toy laser in the middle of the hole. As water exits from the hole, light will bend along with it. This is because of total internal reflection. In a dark room you will see a glorious curve -- an arc of light falling into the bowl of water.
