Although it is very easy to assign IPs to the interfaces of the Cisco Router, this can sometimes be confused.
According to the network design you have created, you have to assign an IP address and Subnet Mask to your Routers. Otherwise, the operation of these devices will be unreasonable and you will not be able to communicate with your computers on the network.
You can learn how to configure a Router in GNS3.
As a result, to assign an IP address to the Ethernet interfaces of the Cisco Router, first, turn on your device in GNS3 and open the CLI command prompt.
Switch from user configuration mode to privileged mode in CLI and after specifying the interface for which you will configure the IP address, use the following command.
Router (config)# interface fastethernet 0/0
Router (config-if)# ip adress 192.168.10.1 255.255.255.0
After assigning #IP to your router's FastEthernet interface, run the command below to open the port.
Router (config)# interface fastethernet 0/0
Router (config-if)# no shutdown
You can use the "show ip interface brief" command in user access mode to examine the status of the interfaces on your device.
