ADVA Optical Networking showcases self-tuning wavelengths in a passive WDM fronthaul link, where each (remote) tunable optical module autonomously adapts its wavelength to the connected multiplexer port. Such a feature is currently being defined and specified in the ITU-T G.metro recommendation.
