Also in France, more and more Stehr trench cutters are being used to lay fiber optic cables.

The company Lecomte Agri-TP, a civil engineering company based in the Vosges, cuts cable trenches up to 1300 deep in stony soil.

The loosened, fine material immediately falls back into the trench. The cable drum is attached to the front hydraulics of the tractor. About guide rollers, the cables are routed to a laying unit and placed in a single operation in the fine milled material. There is no sand cover necessary.

Attached to a tractor with 360 hp with stepless drive, it comes here on hourly output of 3oo -500 meters

With an excavator you would reach at most 200 meters per day.

Once again, Stehr machines, made in Germany, were far ahead of any other known systems.
