This video will guide you through the basic configuration of a Cisco switch. The model used is a 3560 layer 3 switch. To keep this video from going too long, this video will only cover the basics so that you can access the switch over the network and no longer need a console cable to finish configuring it. This video covers the following areas:

- What's needed (i.e. cables)
- Physical connections
- Network Topology
- Discuss Different Modes (i.e. privilege exec mode)
- Set Hostname
- Set IP Address for VLAN
- Set Password for VTY
- Set Enable Password
- Set service password-encryption
