Here we go over the Cisco Stackwise. This video is the first of a series, where we look at what stackwise is and why it is used in comparison to the modular switches.
We also get into the hardware side of what happens when two or more (up to max. 9) Cisco switches are interconnected via the stackwise ports, providing a link with 32Gbs throughput.
The hardware implementation is schematized via simplified figures, where the packet flow is being explained in detail.
