How to connect the JPL Element X500 wireless headset (DECT) to a compatible Avaya IP phone.

What is EHS and what is it used for?
EHS stands for "electronic hook switch, it electronically connects your JPL X500 wireless DECT headset base to your telephone.

This then enables remote operation, answer/end calls, for wireless headset use with various phones, thus eliminating the need for a mechanical handset lifter.

Currently this EHS cable/lead etc is compatible with the following Avaya IP phones:
