In this video, we will be performing throughput test on two client laptops, one having a Broadcom Wi-Fi card and the other with the Intel Centrino card. We will compare the throughput provided by both clients in 2.4 GHz and 5GHz.
Test Equipments used: A Cisco Air cap 3602 I-A-K9 (4x4:3 MIMO) dual band access point is used. Cisco 5508 WLAN Controller. We have installed IXIA Chariot end point software two different clients, one laptop with Broadcom BCM 43xx Wi-Fi card and other laptop with Intel Centrino Ultimate N6300 AGN Wi-Fi. A laptop with IXIA Chariot software will act as a console to run the throughput test.
We calculated the throughput provided by the clients at different distance from the AP and observed that Broadcom client provided better throughput compared to Intel Centrino client.
