There are total 17 Slot in which 14 Slot are for service slot so it is called 14 Slot Shelf.
1.) Slot number 1 to slot Number 6 and Slot number 9 to slot number 14 are fixed for service slot . We can put OCLD, OCI, MUX, OTR, MOTR etc. card in this service slot .
2.) Slot 15 and slot 16 are fixed for SP [Shelf processor ].
3.) Slot 17 Sub slot 1 , Slot 17 Sub slot 3 are fixed for power card and Slot 17 Sub slot 2 is fixed for MIC [Maintenance Interface card ].
4.) Slot FAN 15 -1 , FAN 15-2 and FAN 15 -3 is fixed for 3 Fan units.
5.) At the Top and Below the Fan AP 15-1 is placed . AP is Access panel .
