In this video, IBAT graduate, Duncan Barrett shares his experience of studying cybersecurity at IBAT College Dublin.

Aspiring to a career in computer science, Duncan talks about how IBAT’s excellent lectures and the Cyber Security course itself helped him fulfil his objectives.

Duncan also talks about the challenges of studying part-time alongside work but he says that on the whole, it was a great way to improve his time-management and self-discipline. Studying after work is just as much about the cybersecurity course as it is about the people you meet on the course, says Duncan.

Duncan enjoyed studying with the broad spectrum of people from the army, finance professionals and people with a background in cyber security. He found the coursework interesting and the teaching method very useful. Duncan says that ensuring he was up-to-date and staying involved in class are the things that most helped enhance his skills in this field.
